Alexandra earned her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) through Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She is in private practice in “the other” Portland, Maine. Her practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine includes acupuncture and Chinese herbs to treat physical and emotional conditions. She sees acupuncture as a powerful tool to correct the underlying problems that often preceed a “western diagnosis”. She also practices acupuncture in a public health setting.

Alexandra has received specialized training in several areas of Chinese Medicine. She is designated a Diplomate of Chinese Herbology by the NCCA (National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists). Alexandra specializes in in treatment of various addictions with acupuncture, and received specialized certification from NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) in 1994.
