Dr. Richard K. Maurer
Dr. Richard Maurer earned his doctorate of Naturopathic
Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine
in Portland, Oregon. He has lived and practiced Naturopathic
medicine in Maine since 1994. Dr. Maurer is currently in private
practice in Portland, Maine, with emphasis on nutrition and
herbal medicine for allergic conditions, including asthma, eczema,
ADHD and many other childhood conditions. His practice integrates
dietary and nutritional evaluation with emphasis on identifying
and curing allergies, using both blood tests and electro-dermal
testing (EAV) for food and environmental allergies. Naturopathic
care is often in conjunction with other conventional therapies.
Utilizing the Bowen Therapy Dr. Maurer treats a host of “structural”
conditions including asthma, fibromyalgia, and tendonitis among
others. Beside private practice, Dr. Maurer lectures and writes
technical papers for physicians and pharmacists around the country.
His 3 children also offer daily continuing education.
